Sam & Kyra

December 23, 2018

When Kyra told me her dream wedding day would have been to have a wedding similar to a festival, days of family and friends celebrating and dancing I knew we were in for a fun wedding! Kyra had to settle for a one day wedding but chose two different venues to ensure she could maximise her time as much as possible because this was one day she didn't want ending in a hurry.  For Kyra this day was not only her wedding day but meant her family and friends from her home in the Netherlands would be coming to visit to celebrate with her and that meant as much time celebrating as possible.

The wedding ceremony took place in the breathtaking grounds of the Riverstone Estate.  During the ceremony the celebrant spoke about the moment in which Sam & Kyra met and the serendipity that took place to bring these two together.  A true love story from the beginning.

After sharing their vows and promising each other a life time of happiness and not to watch each others favourite TV series without the other, Sam and Kyra became Mr & Mrs to the cheers and applause of those there and those still at home in the Netherlands who shared the celebrations via live streaming.

After group and family photos were taken it was time to whisk the new couple away on a short but bumpy golf cart ride down to the river to capture those special moments between the Groom and his new bride as they shared a walk and a kiss in the sunshine.

Before long it was already time to move on to the next venue.  Venues are perfect representations of a brides vision for her day and Acacia Ridge summed this up, fun, fresh and ready to party!  With a giant marquee filled with water misters to keep the new couple and their guests cool overlooking a stunning vineyard with hay bales, chairs and lounges for the guests to relax on.  The first couple of the bridal party entered the reception with a fun dance that continued to set the vibe for the day.  As the rest of the bridal party followed suit, the food was served and enjoyed, speeches were applauded and loving words were shared.

As the sun began to set we headed for the vineyards and as expected when trying to organise the bridal party into a walk through the vineyards instead of walking, they danced! And from that moment on they didn't stop. The stars came out and the party started. From dance circles to Dutch shots and more dancing this couple certainly knew how to celebrate.

I love to dance and I love watching people dancing and having a good time and capturing those moments for the couple. There's always so many different dance styles, the loved up couple dancing together, those that dance and sing at the same time, the awesome dancers who just rock the dance floor and those who are not so good so make fun of it and at this wedding we even had the pregnant guest who still managed to bring it to the dance floor. Dancing brings people together, especially with those songs that can unite a crowd, They're my favourites, to see arms all simultaneously go in the air and people sing at the top of their lungs, to get to be there, to witness it, to capture it, those are some of my favourite moments.

My wish for Sam & Kyra #Mrandmrsadamo is that you have years of dancing and spend your lives singing the same song.
